The Juan de Fuca Performing Arts Centre Society relies on volunteers to take on the many tasks of running the Society and acheiving the dream of a community arts and culture centre.
Volunteering can be a fun way to meet new people, learn new skills, and get that great feeling of really making a difference in your community. We are always lookign for people with a passion for community, and diverse backgrounds including the arts, finance, real estate, administration, event planning and management, and so much more.
We are currently seeking a volunteer to support our outreach programming. Specifically, the tasks would include:
- Identify, map, and promote existing performance-ready spaces in the West Shore, highlighting the need for larger spaces that are affordable, accessible, and appropriate.
- Partner with local organisations to deliver a series of diverse performances and events showcasing local talent.
- Lead community outreach and communications to deepen engagement, broaden participation, and strengthen PACS for long-term sustainability and fundraising.
If sufficient funding were to become available, this could lead to a paid part-time role in the fall.
Interested? Reach us at secretary@building4thearts.com with a brief resume and a sense of your experience, and reasons for wanting to be involved.
